OLSON Takes Home Six Awards at Minnesota PRSA Classics
Olson was recognized for its successes for clients in public relations by the Minnesota chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) when the agency captured six Minnesota PRSA Classics Awards at the annual event held last night at the Graves 601 Hotel in downtown Minneapolis.
Olson's work on behalf of Great River Energy received the Classics Program Award in the Public Service category while the agency's efforts on behalf of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans gained top honors in Integrated Communications.
In addition to the Classics Program Awards, Olson received four Classics Element Awards, which recognize the best program tactics. In the highly competitive media kit category, Olson won for both Phillips Distilling Co. and Great River Energy. Olson's brochure for Store.Steelcase.com and its research for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans were also judged best in the category.
"Changes in the media landscape demand next-generation strategies and tactics to reach audiences and achieve meaningful results for clients," said President Kevin DiLorenzo. "Olson's unique community-building philosophy and holistic approach to this discipline are on the cutting edge of public relations and it's rewarding to have these advances acknowledged by our peers."
Although the agency only formalized its public relations discipline three years ago, Olson received the third most awards at this year's Classics. Along with its six awards won, three Olson entries were designated as finalists including two programs for General Mills, Inc.
"Minnesota has a long and established history of public relations excellence and it's particularly rewarding to have Olson, in such a short order, be recognized alongside these venerable agencies," said DiLorenzo.
The Minnesota PRSA Classics Awards recognize public relations campaigns and tactics that successfully addressed communications challenges with exemplary skill, creativity and resourcefulness.
