Philanthropy

Since our inception, we have been working on behalf of good causes. It's part of our make-up and our mission, especially when it comes to helping young people get a leg up. For all our efforts, we were looking for a cause we could call our own, and we finally found it in our own backyard. The challenge is the extreme lack of diversity in our industry. In our opinion, the reason for it is a lack of awareness. Kids don't know you can get paid to be creative.

The BrandLab

Our mission is simple. We create opportunities in the marketing industry for students with diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. By working with inner-city schools, we inspire a new generation of creative thinkers by letting them learn from some of the best minds in the country.

The BrandLab is the first of its kind in public education. Through a partnership with public schools, advertising professionals go into the classroom to instruct, guide and mentor students. Students learn through hands-on and experimental learning in and outside of the classroom. We believe creativity thrives in all backgrounds and cultures and that it is our responsibility to help others reach their full creative potential.

The BrandLab is already making a difference—and the ripples have the potential to reach into many creative industries. A Jefferson Award recognizing corporate philanthropy was given to Olson and The BrandLab in 2008. And we won't stop there. All we need is a little help from friends like you.
