Olson's fourth annual NXMW VIP Marketer Summit is almost here!

When Olson debuted its North by Midwest Marketer Summit in 2012, clients and industry friends were intrigued but didn't quite know what to expect. With a lineup that included the founders of MTV and Huffington Post, a speaker with one of the most-watched TED Talks of all time, an award-winning journalist and a Grammy award-winning singer, we proved that we can put together an amazing lineup and bring it to our friends in Minneapolis for a day of inspiration, education and connection.

The last four years have gone by in a blink, and have seen more award-winning, best-selling and industry-leading speakers take the stage and lead our guests on a journey that has them coming away with ideas and connections to help improve their teams, processes and business outcomes.

We are excited to share that 2016 is going to be one of our strongest lineups yet.

We will have two keynote speakers take our main stage:

First, Charles Duhigg, a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and author of the New York Times bestseller The Power of Habit and Smarter, Faster, Better will speak about how marketers can become more productive. He will explain why real productivity isn't simply about working harder, but rather thinking differently, and how people and companies can become smarter, faster and better by building habits of success.

Second, Mark Bowden, an expert in human behavior, body language and communication and founder of TruthPlane, will speak about how marketers can be more impactful in relationships, teams and business through managing their personal brands and body language. Mark has led training for people, teams, presidents and CEOs for Fortune 500 companies and prime ministers of G8 countries, and we have him in Minneapolis to share his insights.

We will have four CMOs share their insights about how to lead and succeed amid our rapidly shifting industry. What challenges do they face? How do they approach them? What models and solutions have worked for them? Josh Lesnick, EVP/CMO of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Dick Lynch, Chief Brand Experience Officer of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Beth Brady, CMO of Principal Financial Group will share their perspectives across highly diverse industries of travel and hospitality, financial services, QSR and CPG to give our guests ideas for their businesses and plans. They’ll be led by moderator Tim Scott, SVP/CMO of Land O'Lakes.

We will have two entrepreneurs speak to us about the inspiration that led to innovation in technology and spirits. Founder of The Geek Squad, Robert Stephens, will share his story of founding the organization and selling to Best Buy. We’ll also hear from Nicole Portwood, VP of Marketing at Tito's Handmade Vodka, who will share the creation story and innovation behind one of the fastest-growing spirits brands.

Lastly, we will host breakout labs across topics of brand strategy, data and search marketing, featuring industry leaders from Olson, Forrester and Microsoft. We’ll gather our guests in small groups to share their insights across these critical subject areas, giving them an opportunity to visit our Curiosity Lab to see the latest innovations from Olson and our technology partners.

At the end of the day, our guests will leave with real insights, new ideas about how to optimize their marketing strategies and hopefully more connections with fellow marketers across the country. Cheers to that!
