Keeping the story alive.
Sometimes we're inspired by thousands, and sometimes it's a single person. The Riga Ghetto Museum began as one man's labor of love and remembrance of thousands who died in a small eastern European village during German occupation in World War II. We were asked to help keep the story alive.
Using Google Streetview, we created an immersive, intense experience that enabled anyone with a GPS-enabled device to transform their own street into the Riga Ghetto, circa 1942.
The Riga Ghetto Museum planted 15 trees in our honor, though we always felt the project itself was honor enough.
