The Minnesota Wild’s home sellout streak had ended. The team had missed the playoffs for the third straight year. The head coach was fired. The team was losing key free agents and fans were growing restless. Obviously, no 30-second commercial was going to fix that. Enter Becoming Wild, a six-part documentary series that is airing on Fox Sports throughout the summer. The series, which gives an all-access look into hiring a head new coach, the intensity inside a draft war room and the struggle of players trying to make the team, is giving the community fodder to talk hockey in the middle of July.
