Chip Shot Challenge
P.F. Chang’s China Bistro wanted to create more awareness of its relationship with the PGA Tour’s Briny Baird. We saw that goal as a chip shot—the world’s most impossible chip shot. This enormous stunt involved Baird teeing off from high atop a metropolitan hotel to a “green” set up in the middle of a baseball field down below. When he hit the target, everyone in America became eligible to download a coupon for a free lettuce wrap; and P.F. Chang’s made a $25,000 charitable donation. The Chip Shot Challenge aired more than 20 times on SportsCenter (and also received coverage on CNN Headline News and dozens of local stations). More awareness, indeed.
